I love to play this course. It is extremely challenging but worth playing due to the conditions and layout of the holes. The only drawback is sometimes the pace of play is slow because of the number of players and the difficulty of the course. If you live in the area the VIP card is a great purchase to make the course more affordable.

Tough, tough, tough. Wind blows every day here. Hard. If you are in Gulf Shores, you need to come to this place. If you can get around this course around par, you can play. My hat is off to you.

We were very disappointed at the condition of the greens. I would not play again until the greens are repaired.

So, how do you follow up a solitary round on a beautiful course, like yesterday's round at Shell Landing? How about a round with 3 fun guys on a golf vacation at another beautiful course.
The folks at Kiva Dunes were amazing. They called me the afternoon before and told me that I was playing alone with my current tee time, but they could move me to the morning and hook me up with a threesome so I would have more fun. Boy were they right.
For the first time on this trip, I got up and didn’t really want to play golf. But playing at Kiva Dunes made me glad I did. A wonderful course in fantastic shape it was like playing in a park. The staff was very friendly from arrival to departure. The one downside was the 4 balls I lost. In spite of those penalties, I shot an 84.
